Wisdom table

Three wooden parts joined by rusty nails embody generations: ancestors, parents, and us. The same material, yet different forms.

Three elements form a single structure: a stump with severed roots, a planed beam from a pallet, and a rough wooden slab cut from the core of a trunk. They are joined by massive nails, already rusting—symbols of time and outdated foundations.

The stump represents our ancestors, detached from traditional ways of life yet still carrying memory of roots.
The beam stands for our parents’ generation: practical, utilitarian, built on labor and stability.
The slab is us: made of the same material but shaped differently, fractured, reflecting both the search for identity and the rejection of old rules.

The work becomes a metaphor of fragile balance: we are of the same tree, yet we do not repeat one another. Wisdom emerges in recognizing both connection and rupture, continuity and change.
